Frank Joseph Grainer
April 9, 1951 - May 11, 2023
Born to eternal life on May 11th, 2023, peacefully at home after battling cancer for the last year.
Son of Joseph and Maria Grainer. Loving father of Frank (Maureen) and James with wife Elizabeth, and Joseph with 2nd wife Susan. Devoted grandfather of Paige, Alexander and Ashley. Proud and adoring Great-Grandfather of Lola, Ruby, Willow and Hendrix.
Frank was born in Linz, Austria and moved to the United States with his parents at the age of six. He lived most of his life in the Milwaukee area and attended college at UW Oshkosh and graduated from UW Milwaukee.
Frank was successful in business and was best known for owning LA-Z-BOY Furniture Galleries for over 35 years. He enjoyed many hobbies including golf, fishing and breeding and raising fish. He was a member of an international fish society and received awards and accolades for his work.
Frank also loved to socialize and play cards with his buddies and watch and support all of Wisconsin sports with his all-time favorite team being the Green Bay Packers.
Frank loved to spend time with his family and his many, many friends. He was a loving, caring and extremely generous person. He also had an incredible sense of humor, was a great storyteller and knew every joke imaginable. Frank touched many people's lives, and the world wouldn't be the same without him.
Visitation will be held at Hartson Funeral Home on Friday May 19th, 2023 from 1pm-3pm, Service is to follow at 3pm.
