Franklin Dean Hagg, the son of Albert Herman and Florence Francis (Ernst) Hagg, was born on June 28, 1941, in Algona, Iowa. Frank graduated from Algona High School in 1959. On March 30, 1962, Frank married the love of his life, Carol Sharon Johnson, in Winnebago, Minnesota. Frank worked for Pioneer Corn as a research associate until his Retirement in 2001.

Frank was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, East Fork Walleye Club since 1996 and the Izaak Walton League where he served as president in 2000. Frank enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with friends and family. Frank was a very outgoing person and was always one to lend a helping hand to anyone whether a friend or a stranger. He always had a story to tell to help open up the conversation and everything flowed from there. He will be missed by all those that had the opportunity to cross his path.

Left to cherish Frank's memory is his son: Tim (Therese) Hagg of Des Moines; granddaughter: Jenny Hagg of Des Moines; brother: Alvin Hagg of Annadale and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents: Albert and Florence Hagg; wife: Carol Hagg; brother: Ralph Hagg; sister: LaVonne Matz and granddaughter Rachel Hagg.
