Frank “Pete” Bradley Harvey, age 82 passed away Saturday, October 23rd quietly and peacefully with family by his side. “Pete” was the second son born to Ray B. and Ima Whitesides Harvey on July 7, 1939 in Salt Lake City. He grew up in Kaysville and spent many hours on the family farm in Fruit Heights, Utah. Frank graduated from Davis High School in 1957. He was an avid football player and went on to play Guard for Weber State University 1958-1959. Frank married Geraldine Hanson March 19, 1959 in Logan, Utah. They had 3 children together-they later
divorced.
Perhaps his biggest passion was his love for classic Chevy’s! Frank met Marci Reynolds at a carshow and were married February 27, 1994. Dad was proudly nick named “4-Speed Frank” by the many lifelong friends he made through Wasatch Chevy’s Limited and was directing tasks for one of his classic cars right up to his last day!
Frank was always a teacher and took all opportunities to talk science about our beautiful Mother Earth. Family road trips were usually driven off Interstate roads and stops were a must at State and National Parks. Most informational placards along the way also required a stop. Frank was also an enthusiastic bow hunter and enjoyed being in the mountains.
Parkinson’s Disease afflicted him for over 22 years. Although saying goodbye to our much-loved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend is difficult, we share a significant sense of relief for the end of his pain and suffering as a result of this dreadful disease. Through it all he kept his dry and keen sense of humor. He consistently and directly expressed his appreciation for the care he received from his wife and children and especially the final six months of hour-by-hour care from nurses, CNA’s & staff from Tender Care & Sunridge Assisted Living.
Frank is survived by his wife Marci and stepsons Jason Pettersson (Amy) and Branden Reynolds (Natalie). His children Bradley Hanson Harvey (Natalie), Callene Harvey Glabau (Bruce) and Lara Harvey Lovell (BJ), 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. His siblings Richard Harvey (Marge), Jim Harvey (Jean) and was preceded in death by his parents, brother Conley Harvey and sister Linda Harvey Barton.
A celebration of life will be held in his honor on Friday, October 29, 2021. 1-4 p.m. at Barnes Park, 950
West 200 North Kaysville, Utah. Light lunch will be served.
