Frank Clifton Herndon, age 59, of Danville, passed on from this world on June 30, 2022, at his residence. He was born in Danville, Virginia, on July 9, 1963, to the late Dodd C. Herndon and Barbara C. Herndon. He is survived by his mother; two brothers, Kenneth Herndon (Janie) and Steve Herndon (Susan); two children, Nathaniel Herndon (Courtney) and Katie Boswell, four grandchildren; and his loving canine Lucy.

Frank graduated from George Washington High School in 1981 and received a certificate from Danville Community College for tool and die making. Frank worked at Goodyear in the maintenance section.

He was happiest surrounded by family, riding his motorcycle through mountain passes, and was an avid outdoorsman. He was a devout Christian and will always be remembered as a loving son, father, brother, and grandfather.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 9, 2022, at 1 p.m. at Whitmell United Methodist Church, with Pastor Wayne Moore officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to Whitmell United Methodist Church, 2168 Whitmell School Rd, Dry Fork, VA 24549, or to local animal shelters.
