Celebrating the Life of Frank Jackson

Frank Jackson was born in Mullings, South Carolina on February 25, 1937, to the late Washington Jackson, Sr. and the late Idella Timmons Jackson. Frank entered eternal rest at the age of 88 on December 10, 2025, in Bridgeport Hospital surrounded by members of his loving family.

Frank graduated from Palmetto High School in Mullins, SC. Shortly afterwards, he followed his older brother, Washington Jackson, Jr., to Bridgeport, CT. Frank worked at Maskin Freight Line, General Electric, Clarks Construction as well as other positions. He became a restaurant owner of Jackson's Subs, Jackson's Patio, and Jack's Fast Foods. He also worked in other Jackson Family businesses until his retirement. People often called Frank by his last name, shortened to Jack. He was also known as Pop, Poppie, Sonny Boy, Po Little, the Fish and Chips, Chicken Wings and the Chili Cheese Fry man. Frank always loved to cook and serve people. Whenever family or friends stopped by the house, not only would he whip up a meal in no time, he took pride in also serving it. He loved to make people happy, especially with food, jokes, and telling tall tales.

Frank also served in various community services capacities. While living in Beardsley Terrace, he served as an assistant and scout master. He participated in many parades, feeding the hungry, sponsored rent parties, mentored, fed and assisted many children and adults.

Frank met the love of his life, Carrie Jackson, in 1957. They were later married in 1962 and celebrated 63 years of marriage.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Idella and Washington Jackson, Sr, son, Harvey Jackson, sisters Earline Goodyear, Rebecca Jackson and Dorothy Peyton, brothers, Washington Jackson, Jr. and Leroy Jackson.

Along with his wife, Carrie Jackson, he leaves to cherish his memory children, Donald Robinson of South Carolina, Frank Jackson, Jr. of Maryland, Soncerria Jackson Holland (Earl), Michael Jackson (Nickia), Chateau Jackson, and daughter-in-law/daughter, Anna Gaither Jackson all of Bridgeport, CT, grandchildren, Da'Jon Santos, Alexis Jackson, Tiajah Smith, Myles Holland, Brandon Holland, Jaiden Jackson and Michael Jackson of Bridgeport, CT, Domonique Jackson and Crystal Jackson of Washington, DC, Rodney Beatey, Marcus Beatey, Kwan Beatey and Dominique Gatum of South Carolina; great grandchildren, Skyler Santos and Serenity Santos of Bridgeport CT; siblings, Hank Jackson (Maria) of North Carolina, Daisy Crosland of Maryland, Robert Jackson (Lois) of Bridgeport, CT, Richard Jackson and Deloris Jackson of South Carolina.
