Frank Jeffers was born on April 9, 1938, in Vicksburg, Mississippi to Joseph Warren and Mamie D. Jeffers. He entered into rest on August 27, 2023.
Frank was a hard-working man. He could build almost anything. If he could see it, he could build it. Frank worked in the mobile home industry for many, many years. He was a very good father and provider for his family.
Frank loved to hunt and fish and was good at both. He had many friends that he would hunt and fish with. Frank was also great at dominoes and a great Rook player. When he was younger, he would play badminton with his family almost every evening. His friends would come over and play as well.
Frank was a great gardener. He had a huge garden and grew vegetables for his family and sold vegetables to most of the people in Arcadia and the surrounding area. People would drive for miles, and some for hours, just to buy from him because he grew the best vegetables. You could find him up and early in the garden, and then he would sit on his swing on his front porch. He loved to sit on the porch and visit with his family and friends that would drop by.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Warren Jeffers and Mamie D. Edwards, his wife of 57 years, Kitty Jeffers, four sisters, Louise Crawford, Wardean Nevells, Arlene Herbert, and Becky Barnes, and by four brothers, James R. Jeffers, Bobby Edwards, Vernon Jeffers, and James W. Edwards.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, four children, Cynthia Finely and husband Ricky, Virginia Sanderson and husband Michael, Joseph Jeffers and wife Darlene, and Trenna Lout and husband Robby, twelve grandchildren, Lynn Henry, Robbie Sanderson, Natalie Best, Karen Bouwell, Justin Sanderson, Constance Jeffers, Mary Bozeman, Frank Jeffers, Tommy Howell, Carmelita Burgess, Danielle Brown, Hunter Finley, and 30 great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at the First Pentecostal Church of Arcadia. The wake will be held Tuesday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the First Pentecostal Church of Arcadia. Officiating the services will be Rev. Reggie Bozeman, Rev. Sammy Bozeman, Rev. Leroy Skipper, and Rev. Donnie Underwood. Burial will follow at Simsboro Cemetery.
Honoring Frank as pallbearers will be Robbie Sanderson, Justin Sanderson, Hunter Finley, Brian Brown, Frank Jeffers, Tommy Howell, Chris Henry and Michael Bouwell.
