Frank E. Jost, Sr., 83, of Topton, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at his home.

Born June 23, 1942, in Rábahídvég, Hungary, he was the son of the late John and Theresa Jost. Frank and his wife, Sallie M. (Guth) Jost, were married for 60 years.

Frank was a fabricator and installer for Jost Iron Works for over 20 years. He also worked as a crane operator and foreman for several other high steel construction companies. Frank was a 1961 graduate of Allen High School, Allentown, and served as a boy scout leader.

Frank served as a Topton Borough Councilman and volunteered as a fire policeman. He truly enjoyed watching rodeos, woodworking, and working with plants, especially his favorite, orchids.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Sallie, are his children, Heather L. Jost, wife of Abdulrasaq Arije, Topton, and Frank E. Jost, Jr., husband of Cheryl L. (Conrad) Jost, Topton. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Zackaraya, Zayn, Coral, Brandy, Damien, and Wyle, by his great-granddaughter, Olive, by his brothers, Rudolph Yost and Joseph Yost, and by his sister, Cecelia Vatter.

Along with his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his brothers, John Jost and Frederick Jost.

Services for Frank will be held privately by his family.
