John C. Seedorff, 88, of Allentown, passed away, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at St. Luke's Hospital, Allentown Campus.
Born May 6, 1937, in Brooklyn, NY, John was the son of the late John N. and Mary H. (Stechmann) Seedorff. John and his wife, Carolyn M. (D'Alfonso) Seedorff, were married on December 24, 2017. John's first wife of 42 years, Barbara M. (Koros) Seedorff, passed away on May 21, 2004.
John was a 1955 graduate of Baltimore Polytechnic Institute. He went on to receive his Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from Colgate University in 1959.
John had a long career working in several fields. He worked as House Manager at Brookside Country Club, Lower Macungie Township, worked in sales for Liberty Mutual Insurance, was a management consultant for the Alexander Proudfoot Company and for RBC, was a partner at Coopers & Lybrand, and owned and operated J. Christopher Associates. In retirement, John worked as a trolley motorman in Scranton.
John was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Allentown, where he served as a vestryman. He truly enjoyed trolley cars, classic cars, tapdancing and ballroom dancing.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Carolyn, are his children, Teresa L. "Terri" (Higgins) Brown, wife of John P. Brown, Reading, John-Paul Seedorff, Leominster, MA, and Kristina M. Seedorff, Wescosville. He is also survived by his grandchildren, William Brown, Kevin Brown and Morgan Kline.
Graveside services for John will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at 10:00 am at Grandview Cemetery, 2735 Walbert Ave, Allentown, PA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in John's memory be made to the charity of your choice.
