Frank Konigseder

Frank Louis Konigseder, 88, a lifelong resident of Lake County, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026. Born in Waukegan to Frank and Frances Konigseder, Frank was a man of immense drive and vision. A 1955 graduate of Libertyville High School, he began his career at his father's business, FK Pattern & Foundry, before carving his own path in 1972 by founding Liberty Coach Inc. Today, his legacy lives on through the continued success of the family business, now operated by his children and grandchildren.

Frank's passion for life was fueled by his love for travel and anything with an engine. Whether captaining a boat, riding with the Road Hogs or Bus 'n Bikers motorcycle clubs, or tending to his tractor collection, he was happiest in motion. An accomplished sports fisherman, he cast lines across all five of the world's oceans. Above all, Frank was a mentor who led by example, shaping his sons into the men they are today. He was a man of action who knew how to build a friendship as skillfully as he built a business. His indelible impact will be felt forever by those who knew him.

Frank is survived by his wife of 66 years Jeanne; his boys Frank (Denise) and Kurt (Kim); his grandchildren Taylor (Drew) Lear, Alex (Brittney), Nick, Riley (Mallory) and Paige; his great-grandchildren Landon and Bella; his sister Mary (the late Robert Sr.) Meyer; 2 nieces and 1 nephew. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Mass for Frank will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday March 6th at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 121 E Maple Ave., Libertyville where there will be a visitation one hour prior. Interment to follow at Ascension Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials made to St. Jude’s www.stjude.org would be greatly appreciated.
