Frank Korom passed away peacefully on July 1, 2022, at the Hospice Center in Mt. Joy, PA, surrounded by members of his family. He was 92 years old. Mr. Korom was a certified Union Mason and Carpenter who worked for Mancini and Son in Philadelphia, PA and Valley Forge Military Academy in Wayne, PA. Frank loved to watch soccer games, play cards with his friends and work in his garden. He was a great husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and loved to spend time with his family and friends. Frank was a very strong man who moved his family from Yugoslavia to the United States in 1960. He worked hard to make a good life for his family, to buy a house in Doylestown, PA and to send both of his sons to college.
Born in Toba, Yugoslavia on September 11, 1929, he was the son of the late Paul and Rosalia (Bogdan) Korom. Surviving is his loving family including his two sons, Michael (Virginia) Korom of Manheim, PA and Frank Korom of Watertown, Mass; two grandsons, Michael (Shelby) Korom and Nikolas (Lindsay) Korom; five great-granddaughters: Juliette, Madison, Lily, Sidney and Noelle; three sisters: Vera Palatinus, Elizabeth (Andy) Vajda and Teresa (John) Bali; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Maria; and three brothers: Steve, Paul and Sandor.
Relatives & friends are invited to Frank's Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church, 120 Jefferson Street, Bridgeport, PA on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 11:00 am. Interment will be in St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Frank's memory to the Hospice and Palliative Care Program, 685 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17604.
