Frank Kory Obituary
February 7, 1930 – November 30, 2022
Beloved patriarch of the Kory family.
Frank Kory, Sr. was born on February 7, 1930 in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. He was forever grateful to his sister Nora for making their lives in America possible after overcoming the loss of their father. He spent his childhood in Windsor before moving with his family to Detroit in 1948. After serving in the United States Army, Frank met the incomparable Margo in 1954. The love they shared was immediate and infinite. Frank & Margo embodied the meaning of true love.
They are survived by their 6 children: Frank Jr. (Sharon), Kathy (Carl) Manoogian, Nora Kory (Rick Najor), Mark, Jeffrey, and Janine (Peter) Toundaian. Baba Frank and Nana Margo, as they were affectionately known, leave a legacy of 10 grandchildren: Vinnie, Derek, Olivia, Max, Cory, Alec, Nicky, Danielle, Samantha, Sydney; as well as their first great-granddaughter, Margot.
A funeral mass will be held on Monday, December 5, 2022 at St. Owen Catholic Church - 6869 Franklin Rd., Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, beginning at 11:00am with an instate prior at 10:00am. Burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery - 25800 W. 10 Mile Rd., Southfield, Michigan, will immediately follow the funeral mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Frank's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
