On June 13, 1946, God made a farmer, Frank L. Kramer. On January 26, 2024, heaven gained a farmer.
Frank was born to Leo and Veronica (Loehr) Kramer in Dotyville, Wisconsin and he grew up working on the family farm. On November 11, 1967, he married his wife of 56 years, Anne Braun. They built their life together on the Loehr homestead farm in Dotyville, bringing into the world four children: Karen (Tim) Vermeulen, Brian (Brenda) Kramer, Laurie (Shawn) Moore, and Barbara (Shannon) Rybold.
After retiring from farming, Frank still enjoyed working on tractors, tilling up the fields, and bidding at auctions. He wasn't afraid of the challenge of fixing an item he purchased or picked up alongside the road.
Frank and his grandkids (Kirsten, Leslie, Kaitlyn, Ashley, Lindsey, Courtney, Brayden, Harper) cherished the time they spent together, whether it be taking a trip around the house on a zero turn or giving them a ride on one of his tractors.
Survivors include his wife, Anne; his four children and their spouses; eight grandchildren; five sisters, Monica Roltgen, Sue Braun, Rosie Baker, Maggie Mayer, Kathy Smits; one brother, Leo Kramer; ten in-laws John Wible, Jack Roltgen, Pete Woeshnick, Bob Baker, Chris Kramer, Jim Mueller, Milt Dilling, Sandi Roehrig and Bob and Mary Braun.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Leo and Veronica Kramer; his father and mother-in-law, Alois and Rosella Braun; five sisters, Mary Wible, Virginia Kramer, Bernadette Woeshnick, Rita Kramer, Ann Kramer and five in-laws Jerry Braun, Wayne Smits, Mary Mueller, Patricia Dilling and Joe Braun.
SERVICES: Frank's family invites friends and relatives to Zacherl Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 30th from 3:00 to 5:45 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 6:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place.
The family would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to the multitude of medical professionals who cared for Frank throughout the years. Special appreciation goes to Dr. Jeffrey Strong for managing Frank's complex medical conditions for many years, SSM Health Cancer Center for their treatment of his multiple myeloma and SSM Health at Home Hospice for providing compassionate care and allowing Frank to fulfill his wishes to remain at home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Frank's name to the International Myeloma Foundation (www.myeloma.org).
