Frank Edward La Framboise, a cherished Dad, Brother, Grandfather, Son, Uncle, Friend, and Gramps to all, passed away on November 24, 2025, at the age of 82.
Frank was born on May 23, 1943, in Eugene, Oregon, where he enjoyed a fun boyhood with his 4 brothers, Mom, and family. He graduated from Madris High School which was located in Oregon. They had one of the best mascots, the buffalo. Later, the family moved to Brigham City, Utah, where he joined the National Guard.
Frank believed in working towards an education and is an alumni from Weber State University and Snow College. Professionally, he worked hard for a Master’s degree to later become a guidance counselor at Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute (SIPI). He loved being able to help the students at the college and administered college aptitude tests.
In his younger days, he and his brothers would team up and compete in tribal basketball tournaments. He had very fond memories of those times. He always told stories about the great friends that he met.
Frank enjoyed spending time outdoors: hunting, fishing, camping, and all things that allowed you to be outside. Rabbit hunting with all the guys was a favorite past time that he enjoyed every year. The football season was a time that he looked forward to because he would be able to watch his favorite teams: Green Bay Packers and the Dallas Cowboys all the way!!!!!
He would genuinely listen and had a way of making light of a situation and offering his famous one liners. One of his best words of wisdom: “Sis, if the world was perfect, We would all be bored!” Frank had a big heart that he would do anything to help a friend or family member. He was a gentleman to the core. He lead with a great example of etiquette and heart that will be missed dearly. Thank you for sharing your beautiful and bright soul with the us. We will always love you and miss you so very much. You will always be our Gramps!
Frank is survived by his daughter, Tahrah (Dallas) Perank, brother, Joe Walling (Gloriana), numerous nephews and nieces, as well as his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Mom, Floreine, and Dad, Emmett La Framboise; his children, Michael and Joseph La Framboise; as well as his brothers, Lyle, Robert, and Wally.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 28, 2025, in the Ouray-Tabbee Cemetery, with Military Honors presented by the Utah Army National Guard, the Ft. Duchesne VFW, and the Patriot Guard Riders.
A viewing will be held that morning from 10:00-11:00.
