Frank Anthony LaBarbera passed away in the comfort of his home Thursday, December 26, 2024. Frank was born December 18, 1940, in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Frank Acurso LaBarbera and Lillie Margaret Ficarrotta LaBarbera.

Frank leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and endless laughter by all who knew him. He was unmatched in his generosity, whether you were a perfect stranger or a lifelong friend.

Frank had a wonderful gift of nurturing friendships and was a mentor and leader to so many.

Frank was happiest spending time at his favorite place on Earth, Moss Lake, where he enjoyed boating, fishing, crabbing, cooking, and most of all hosting family and friends with his dogs always by his side.

Frank spent his career in the operations and management of the garbage industry at Waste Management and proudly served the West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital Board for 17 years.

Frank is preceded in death by his parents, Lillie and Frank LaBarbera and his beloved sister, Rosalind Kay LaBarbera. Frank is survived by his wife of 62 years, Charlotte LaBarbera; sons Richard LaBarbera, Michael LaBarbera; daughter Trena LaBarbera Soileau (Rudie); grandchildren Sean Hager, Tristan Hager (Aaron), Mikaela Ferrier (Julien), Lily LaBarbera, Isabella Soileau; and great granddaughter Frankie Rosalind Nelsen.

The family would like to thank the medical professionals who cared for Frank, including Dr. Craig Broussard, Jennifer Wainwright, Dr. Devin Seale, Dr. Timmothy Takash, and Ginger, Connie, and Callie at Harbor Hospice.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will begin at 4:00 PM on Monday, December 30, 2024 and will continue until 7:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Tuesday morning at 9:00 AM and will continue until the start of the service at 11:00 AM.
