Lloyd Landry Obituary
Lloyd Landry was a man of strong character, dedication and faith. He graduated from Lacassine in 1966. He worked for PPG Industries for many years, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to his profession. Lloyd had a passion for horses and classic cars and opened The Feed Barn in Lake Charles to further his passion for animals. He was a lifelong member of AQHA and LQHBA. Lloyd later served as a teacher at Sowela for 5 Year, where he made a lasting impact on his students. He was a faithful member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven, where he often was a lector for the church. Lloyd was an active member of the Knights of Columbus in Iowa, living his faith through service, devotion and fellowship.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Linda Landry; children, Toby Landry and wife Lora, Marty Landry, and Josh Landry; grandchildren, Brock Landry and fiancé Olivia, Bailee Landry, and Jaiden Landry; and sister, Glenda Dickerson and husband Gene.
He is preceded in death by his parents, L.J. and Rosa Bell Landry; and siblings, Particia and Randal Landry.
Family will receive friends Friday February 27, 2026 from 5:00. ~ 8:00 p.m. with a rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m., at Riley Smith and Sons, 517 Broad Street, Lake Charles, Louisiana. A funeral mass will be held Saturday, 28, 2026 at 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady Queen of Heaven, 3939 Lake St, Lake Charles, Louisiana. Monsignor Daniel A. Torres from Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, Lake Charles, Louisiana and Father Levi Thompson of St. Henry Catholic Church, Lake Charles, Louisiana will be officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Lacassine Cemetery, 306 Ann St, Welsh, Louisiana.
