Frank A. LaCava

Frank A LaCava, age 59, resident of Geismar LA, native of New Orleans, passed away on June 15th 2023 at 3:56 PM from stomach cancer. Frank was born on January 26th 1964 to Anthony LaCava and Lee Anna Long in New Orleans. In 2005, Frank met Corina Kerlec. Their daughter Amethyst Kerlec was born in 2009. He helped raise Corina's children, Sebastian Holmes and Anastasia Bourgeois (Kerlec). Frank was always very knowledgeable and good with tech. He enjoyed working on projects. Frank was a very energetic man. He would often take the kids bike riding, and his adventurous characteristic would shine onto others. He was always a child at heart, and kids love him. He loved to shoot pool. In 2003, he went with his pool team to Las Vegas for a tournament. He loved swimming, Corina had often told people he was "part fish'." In his last days, Frank was surrounded by family, friends, and people who love him. He is survived by his daughter, Amethyst Kerlec, brothers and sisters, and his four grandchildren, Tristan, Tatum, Elias Bourgeois and Renë Holmes, but he will always live on in all of us. Services will be held Tuesday June 20th at 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Wisdom Calls Church 12584 Airline Hwy Gonzales LA 70737
