Frank Lehner Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Washburn-McReavy Funeral Chapels - Coon Rapids on Feb. 5, 2026.
Lehner, Frank B.,

age 87, of Mounds View, passed away peacefully February 3, 2026.

Preceded in death by son Joseph, parents Joseph and Anna, siblings, Joe Jr (Eleanor), Kathryn (Norbert) Buerman, Mary Ann (Ray) Rueter, Raymond, Eileen (Nick) Kirschner, and Peter (Roselyn),and sister-in-law Louise.

Survived by his wife of 60 years Pat, children Paulette (Archie) Lawhorne, Kerri (Shawn) Steinbrecher, grandchildren Lorna, Lexus, Haley, Adrina, Cyan, and Rolland, great-grandchildren Leo, Lorelai, Jack, Lia, Max, Alice, and Wendy, siblings Al and Bob (Susan), numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Frank grew up on a farm near Holdingford, MN. He had many great stories he loved to share growing up on the family farm to anyone who was willing to listen. Frank sailed on the Great Lakes on the iron ore ships before being drafted into the US Army and serving in Vietnam. He was very proud of having the opportunity to serve his country and always proudly flew the American flag in the front yard. His career mostly consisted of carpentry work, with a short bout in real estate where he ended up helping clients fix their homes before being put on the market. This turned into him starting his own business, Frank Lehner Construction, where he performed home repairs, remodels, and custom decks. He became known as Mr. Fix it to his family and friends. Frank and Pat traveled when they could, mostly in between the several times he retired. Frank loved his family. He loved watching his grandkids grow up, and sharing their achievements with them. He was sure to attend every family event, whether it was weddings, graduations or other get-togethers. He loved a good auction, especially the coffee and hot dogs. He loved to come and help make hay, feed the cows or fix whatever needed fixing at his daughter's hobby farm and then going to the tractor pulls when the work was done. He enjoyed time playing and coaching softball, playing horseshoes and volleyball, as well as hunting and fishing. He was a long-time member of the Lions Club, a member of the VFW and American Legion. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM Thursday, February 26, with visitation one hour prior at the Church of St. Timothy, 707 - 89th Avenue NE, Blaine. Lunch to follow Mass at the Kraus Hartig VFW Post 6587, 8100 Pleasant View Dr. NE, Spring Lake Park. Interment will be Friday, February 27, 11:00 AM at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls.
