Francisco "Frank" Maldonado, 78, of Lampasas, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at Advent Health Central Texas in Killeen.
Services will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel Lampasas, 201 E. Third St., Lampasas, at 1 pm on Saturday, February 3, 2024, with a visitation prior from 11 am to 1 pm. Burial at Oak Hill Cemetery will be held at a later date.
Frank was born on July 25, 1945, in Lampasas, TX to Demetrio and Maria (Bocanegra) Maldonado. Frank was employed as a journeyman for many years in Fort Worth. After retiring from this occupation he worked for Lampasas High School for many years and also was self-employed as a barber. Frank loved playing golf, but more than anything he enjoyed time with his family. He was a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather and uncle and will be dearly missed by his family.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Anthony Maldonado, and his siblings, Armando Maldonado, John Maldonado, and Sandra Maldonado.
Survivors include his wife, Olegaria Maldonado; two step-children; his brothers, Hondo Sanchez (Teresa), Demetrio Maldonado, Jr, Rosendo Maldonado, Alfredo Maldonado, Mario Sanchez (Ann); his sisters, Margaret Maldonado, Alicia Maldonado, Raven Blalock (Michael); his grandsons, Julian, and Jordan Maldonado; three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members.
