Frank Marshall Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Musgrove Family Mortuary & West Lawn Memorial Park from Jan. 25 to Feb. 6, 2024.
March 13, 1945 to January 9, 2024
Frank Leslie Marshall, Jr. passed away on January 9, 2024, from Parkinson's. Frank was born on March 13, 1945, in Philadelphia, PA to Frank (Bud) and Thelma (Gert) Marshall who predeceased him. Frank is survived by his wife Christine of 53 years and son Charles. He is also survived by his brother, Bob Marshall (Cheryl), sisters-in-law Vickie Henderson (Bob) and Shelley Carlson all of Eugene. Frank's niece and three nephews have very fond memories of growing up with their Uncle Frank whether it was through camping, boating, golfing or just visiting with him. Frank was one of the most kind and gentle persons you could meet. Frank was loved by many family members and friends.
Frank graduated from South Eugene High School in 1963 where he was a pitcher on the baseball team. Frank received an Associate's Degree from Lane Community College and he eventually spent his career working in the Physical Education Department as well as the Financial Aid Department at Lane. He was also a member of the Army Reserves.
Frank was an avid Duck fan attending many football and basketball games. After retirement, he enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and Europe with his wife and son. You could find him on the golf course whenever he got the chance. Frank enjoyed many wonderful days fishing on the Alsea River for Steelhead with his dad, brother Bob, cousin Mike Elder and other great friends. He will be greatly missed but will remain in our hearts forever.
There will be a Celebration of Frank's life sometime this Spring in Eugene. Notification will be sent via Facebook and word of mouth.
To honor him, donations can be made in Frank's memory to the Peter Moore Hospice House at 4010 County Farm Road, Eugene, OR. 97408. Be sure to write Frank's name in the "Memo" on your check.
