Mastrella, Frank Paul
Greece: Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at age 97. Predeceased by his loving wife of 63 years, Maria (Nitti) Mastrella; father and mother, John Paul and Clara Mastrella; brothers, Rocco and Vincent Mastrella; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Virginio and Palma Nitti; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Vittorio Nitti, Louis Nitti, John and Carmen Grammatica, Cosmo L'Abbate, Ray Umbrino, Edda Falzalore. He is survived by his children, John (Maryann) Mastrella, Claire (David) DeLucia, Anna Marie (Louie) Fico, Mark (Katherine) Mastrella, Carl (Kim) Mastrella; 20 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; brother, Anthony (Gloria) Mastrella; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Rosie L'Abbate, Joe (Donna) Nitti, Adele Nitti, Amelia Umbrino, Gabriella (Robert) Pino; many nieces, nephews and friends. Frank was a proud veteran of WWII and the Korean War. May we be lucky to have someone like Frank in our lives, and may we be that to others.
Friends may call THURSDAY, January 30, from 4-8PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Road, Gates. On Friday morning, January 31, all are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 9:30 at Holy Apostles Church. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Holy Apostles Church, 7 Austin St., Rochester, NY 14606 or to Tunnels to Towers (www.t2t.org) in his memory. Frank's family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Lifetime Care Hospice and the Veterans Administration for their compassionate and dedicated care. A special thank you goes to Gloria Hoffman for her loving support.
