Frank Lewis Melton

1932 - 2026

Frank Lewis Melton, age 94, passed away in Martinez, Georgia. He was born on January 13, 1932, in Marion, Kentucky, to the late Ruth and William Melton.

Frank is survived by his beloved wife, Katherine "Kitty" Melton; his stepson, Israel Webb; his nephew and niece-in-law, Everett and Debbie Melton; his nieces, Tommy and Marilyn Jean; and several other nieces and nephews.

Frank is preceded in death by his nine siblings: Lucille Amsworth, Emma Curneen, Shirley Travis, Lois Self, John Melton, Thomas Melton, James Melton, Glenn Melton, and Cecil Melton. He was the last surviving sibling of his family.

Frank proudly served his country as a United States Army Veteran and later retired from both the National Guard and the United States Postal Service. He was a dedicated member of the Woodmen of the World, where he served as President and Treasurer, and was also a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).

Frank's life was marked by service, leadership, and devotion to family and community. He will be remembered with respect and fondness by all who knew him.

The funeral service will be held in Providence, Kentucky on a later date.
