Frank Meltzer, our beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away on April 9, 2025.
Frank was born on November 16, 1949, in Lafayette, Indiana. He grew up in the northwest part of the state, affectionately known as “The Region,” where he was proud to be recognized as a Lord of the Region—a title awarded for his deep community roots and spirit.
He graduated from Merrillville High School, where he played football and formed lifelong friendships that he cherished throughout his life. Frank went on to attend Indiana University and later built a successful career in finance, working as a commercial lender for several major banks.
Frank is survived by his beloved children, Michelle, Kate, and Jonathan Meltzer; his sisters, Lori Adams and Kimberly Daniels; and his nieces and nephews.
A gathering to celebrate Frank’s life will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. at Aaron-Ruben-Nelson Funeral Home, 11411 N. Michigan Road.
