Frank Steven Mozdian, Sr., 83, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 11, 2025 after a brief illness. He was born in Connecticut to John and Ann (Draus) Mozdian and raised in Laurel Run, then lived in North End Wilkes-Barre for most of his life. Frank worked as a mechanic, a factory worker, and a cleaner before retiring in 1995. Frank loved the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins and would attend or listen to their games. He rooted for the Green Bay Packers and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He enjoyed pizza, hoagies, cheesesteaks, fried macaroni, high school football, making candles, and beating everyone in his family at Pacman. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Eleanor and Marion (Cookie), and his wife of 49 years, Rita (Struckus) in May of 2024. Surviving are his children, Lisa Berlew of Wilkes-Barre, Frank Jr. of Wilkes-Barre, Marc and his wife, Cheryl, of South Abington Township; grandchildren, Nikki and her husband Danny, Allan, and Raymond; great-grandchildren Mike, Natalie, and Nathan; sister Priscilla, Mountain Top, brother Joe and his wife Carol, Indiana; many nieces, nephews, and friends. When he was in hospice, Frank said he hoped he would be greeted by his mother, grandmother, his wife Rita, and their beloved dog, Chico. Frank cheated death at least four times throughout his life and was ready to embrace whatever came next. His family would like to thank Allied Services Hospice in Scranton and Wilkes-Barre for their help navigating this last part of Frank's life. Memorial Donations may be made to Allied Hospice and Palliative Care 100 Abington Executive Park, Clarks Summit PA 18411. Arrangements by Yeosock Funeral Home, Plains.
