Frank Munno Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Teeters' Funeral Chapel (a.k.a. Teeters' East Chapel) on Feb. 21, 2026.
Frank L. Munno (September 4, 1946 – February 14, 2026)

Frank L. Munno, 79, passed away on February 14, 2026, at Wayne Memorial Hospital, with his beloved son and daughter-in-law by his side.

Born on September 4, 1946, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Francesco Ralph Munno and Rose Mary Schirripa, Frank eventually made his home in Pennsylvania, where he became a fixture in the community as the owner of Pocono Video in Hawley.

Frank was a man of restless hands and a rare, intuitive gift. To him, nothing was ever truly broken; it just needed the right pair of hands and the patience to breathe life back into it. He saw potential where others saw only junk, and he approached life with that same enduring hope.

He was a man of immense grit and resilience. A survivor of both cancer and a liver transplant, Frank defied medical odds for decades. When doctors gave him eight years following his transplant, Frank gave them twenty-four-a testament to his stubbornness and his sheer will to stay in this world for the people he loved. He was a father who would happily live with nothing just so he could give everything to his son.

Frank leaves behind his devoted son, Frank James, and his cherished daughter-in-law, Corrin Renee, who were his tireless advocates and caregivers. He is also missed by his "granDOGer," Tayla. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Rosemarie Bongiovanni.

Friends and family are invited to a memorial on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Teeters' Funeral Chapel in Hawley, PA. A memorial service will follow immediately at 12:00 PM, officiated by Deacon Paul Cooper.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Munno Family Support Fund.

As his son remembers him: "How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard. Rest easy, Papa."
