Frank Jerome Polinsky, age 74, formerly of Canton, Dushore, and Forty Fort, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday afternoon, January 6, 2026, at the Highlands Care Center in Laporte, PA.
Frank was born August 1, 1951, in Kingston, PA, a son of the late Frank E. and Ann P. Bojarcik Polinsky. He attended many schools throughout the Forty Fort and Kingston areas in the Wyoming Valley. He attended Luzerne Community College and graduated in 1971, and then he attended Wilkes College and graduated from there in 1973. He received a Master’s in Reading Education from Bloomsburg State College in 1982. He resided in Forty Fort, Dushore, Laporte, and Canton, throughout his lifetime.
Frank worked as a reading teacher and later took care of his aging parents.
Frank was a long time collector of fine arts and enjoyed glassware and ceramics.
He was a longtime member of Holy Name of Jesus Church in Swoyersville, PA, and then most recently a member of St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, Mildred. He was also a member the White Ash Land Association, Mildred, PA, for several decades and he also helped charities and other causes over his lifetime.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026, at 11:00 AM in St. Basil’s Church, Dushore, PA, with the Rev. Bert S. Kozen, his pastor, presiding. Interment will follow in Mt. Ash Cemetery, Laporte, PA.
