Westminster- Frank Glenn Smith, Sr., husband of Evelyn Lou Smith, passed away on December 23, 2025, at his son's home, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on July 10, 1932, in Oconee County, South Carolina, Frank was the son of the late Virgil Thomas Smith and Ruby Estelle Smith. Frank was a United States Army Veteran having served during Korean War. He retired from Jacobs Chuck and was a faithful member of Seneca Church of God Prophecy. Frank was a devoted family man whose greatest joy came from the love he shared with his family, he had a great passion for woodworking, where he was able to provide many pieces of his amazing wood work to his family for them to treasure for a lifetime.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Evelyn Lou Smith, of 72 years of marriage; his children, Delano Smith (Debra) of Westminster, Thomas Smith (Lisa) of Westminster, Frank G. Smith, Jr. (Angie) of Westminster, and Merita McRae (Don) of Westminster; his siblings, Johnny Smith (Edna), Cecil Barker, Dorothy Duncan, and Beulah Buchanan (Donny); thirteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; and fifteen great-great-grandchildren.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, David Smith, Donald Smith, Jack Smith, Milton Smith, Samille Barnes, and Shirley Crooks.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:30 p.m., Sunday, December 28, 2025, at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel with full military honors provided by the Walhalla American Legion Post 124. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Sandifer Funeral Home.
