Frank Thomas Uzzell Sr., 87, resident of Columbia, died February 12, at his residence.
Funeral services will be conducted at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at 11:00 AM with Randy Fox officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friend Monday February 16, 2026 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com.
Born September 10, 1938 in Columbia, TN, he was the son of the late Felix Frances Uzzell and the late Gladys Christine Moser Uzzell. Franks favorite pastimes included; playing baseball, reading the newspaper and listening to the radio. You could always find him riding down the road visiting and recollecting the past times. He loved his family and talking with friends. Frank was a member of Scribners Mill Church of Christ.
Survivors include his sons, Tommy (Carol) Uzzell, Jeff (Carrie) Uzzell, Joey (Joanna) Uzzell; daughter in law, Vanessa Uzzell; grandchildren, Lana (Kris) Sage, Will Uzzell, Jon Uzzell, Gracie (Matt) Gaines, Morgan Uzzell, Kaylee Uzzell, Allie Uzzell; great-grandchildren, Sadie Slaughter, Ellie Slaughter, Bryson Uzzell, Nolan Gaines, Everett Gaines, Charlotte Faye Gaines; sisters, Mary Frances Neece, Iris Howell, Nancy Stewmon; sister in law, Ann Haskins; brother in law, Joe Bell; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Elizabeth Faye Uzzell; son, Randy Uzzell; great-grandson, Landon Slaughter; and two brothers, Jerry Uzzell, and Fred Uzzell.
Nephews will be serving as pallbearers.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the wonderful care team they had with Gentiva Hospice and Dr. Doug Kennedy and staff, especially Hannah and Lacresha.
