Frank LaVay Warren, age 76 of Thedford, NE passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at home. Frank was born March 4, 1948, in Mullen, NE to LaVay and Vada (Licking) Warren. Frank was the third child born to this union out of 10. Frank graduated from Thedford High School in 1966.
Frank loved driving his truck and was a truck driver for 40 years and hauled for almost every rancher in the county. Frank was also a rancher his whole life. Frank hated sitting in the house, he was happiest outside, tinkering in his shop. Give him a welder and cutting torch and he could make or fix anything.
Frank married Carolyn Edelman on September 21, 1969. Frank & Carolyn had two children, William (BJ) Warren and Staci (Kevin) Dagen. Frank is survived by his wife, Carolyn; daughter, Staci (Kevin) Dagen; grandchildren, Britney (Landon) Stephens, Dalton Warren, Bailey Dagen, and Brady Dagen; great-grandchildren, Gentry, Truett, Lawson and Lennox Stephens; siblings, Dorothy (Ray) Harmon, John (Jessica) Warren, Bob Warren, Jerry (Mary Lou) Warren, Rod Warren, Linda (Wayne) Eggert; brother and sisters-in-law, Deb (Kenny) Call, Jack Edelman, Sam Edelman, Nickie (Jim) Weinman and numerous nieces and nephews.
Frank is preceded in death by his son BJ, his parents LaVay & Vada Warren, his in-laws Ted & Gloria Edelman and his brother & sister Bill Warren & Mary Roy and his sister-in-law Judy Edelman.
Frank will always be remembered by his family as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at 1:30 PM at the Thedford UCC Church in Thedford, NE. Burial will follow in the Seneca Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Seneca Cemetery, Thedford UCC Church, or the Thedford Fire Dept & EMT’s. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 28th from 10:00 AM until service time at the Thedford UCC Church. Govier Brothers Mortuary of Mullen is in charge of arrangements.
