Frank Wright Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 27, 2026.
Frank Thomas Wright, age 79, of Rex, Georgia, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2026.

Frank was a devoted husband, father, brother, and Papa, known for his warmth, kindness, and steady presence. To those who loved him most, he was simply Dad and Papa- titles he carried with pride and deep love. He is survived by his wife, Arlene Wright, his children Mandy Rodgers, Paul Gunter (Wendy), Jerry Gunter (Stephanie), and his cherished grandchildren Mason, Maya, Reese, and Reid, who were the light of his life. He is also survived by his siblings in Pennsylvania: Tess DiPaola (Jerry), Jim Wright (Cathy), Peter Wright, Chuck Wright (Pat), & Josephine Kelly (Mike), as well as many nieces and nephews.

A proud United States Marine, Frank lived with quiet strength, integrity, and honor. After his service, he went on to work as a Mechanic for Delta Air Lines for 30 years. He retired in 2001.

Frank found great joy in the simple pleasures- fishing, hunting, time spent shooting, and being outdoors. Above all else, he treasured time with his family and dear friends, creating memories filled with laughter, stories, and love that will be carried on for generations.

Those who knew Frank will remember his gentle spirit, his warm heart, and the way he made everyone feel welcome. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the family he loved so deeply.

A Catholic funeral service will be held on February 16, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Saint Peter the Rock Catholic Church, located at 3594 Barnesville Highway, Thomaston, Georgia 30286.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (www.cff.org) in Frank's memory.
