A Letter of Gratitude to My Friend, Frank Chuang

For more than thirty years, Frank has been more than an accountant to me - he has been a steady companion through the journey of life and work. From my very first small startup, a humble video store more than thirty-five years ago, to every company that followed, Frank has been there - quietly reliable, always thoughtful, and unfailingly kind.

Over the decades, I have come to see that his true gift is not just his mastery of numbers, but his understanding of people. His work was precise, but his heart was generous. Every tax season, while most saw deadlines and data, Frank saw trust - and he honored that trust with grace and integrity.

Beyond business, we shared something deeper: a love of Zhuangzi. Those timeless reflections on freedom, simplicity, and the flow of life often found their way into our conversations. We both believed, I think, that life´s true value is not in accumulation, but in harmony - between effort and ease, between ambition and peace.

Frank lived that way. Calm amid the storm, modest amid success, steady amid change. In his quiet way, he embodied the Zhuangzi spirit - like a man who could let the world spin, yet remain centered within himself.

As I look back on these decades, I feel immense gratitude - for his friendship, his integrity, and his example. Our paths converged through business, but our hearts connected through philosophy and respect.

Frank, my dear friend, may your journey onward be as free and light as the butterfly in Zhuangzi´s dream - boundless, serene, and full of wonder.

With deep respect and friendship,
Jason Hsia
