Mrs. Frankie McDonald, 70, of Colbert, Georgia, passed away Thursday August 15, 2024, peacefully surrounded by her loved ones.

Born on August 7, 1954, in Athens, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Willie Alewine and the late Melba Fields. She was preceded in death by her sister, Brenda Wimburn of South Carolina; brother, Willie (Buck) Alewine of Hull-Sanford, Georgia; brother, William (Bill) Alewine of Athens, Georgia; and brother, Paul Alewine of Athens, Georgia.

Frankie accomplished so much in her life. She was a member of Canvas Church. To know Frankie was to love her. She was so full of life and spunk. When she loved it was with her entire heart and soul. She was loved by so many and the world is a little smaller without her.

She loved to be with family and friends. Frankie’s happy place was either in the mountains, or on a cruise ship. She loved to have a good time and cruise life.

Survivors include her husband, Harrison McDonald of Colbert, Georgia; son, Eric (Roni) McDonald of Maysville, Georgia; daughter, Chasity (Duane) Jordan of Colbert, Georgia; sister, Barbara Peterman of Colbert, Georgia; brother, Floyd (Buddy) Alewine of Colbert, Georgia; seven amazing grandkids: Camden and Landen Jordan, Chaz, Draike, Brealynn, and Braxton McDonald, and Michael Smith; as well as many amazing nieces and nephews.

It was Frankie’s wish to be cremated and a service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Colbert Living Waters Holiness Church. Visitation will begin at 12:00p.m. and the service will follow at 1:00p.m.

She leaves you with this last verse. Revelation 21:4 “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
