A proud veteran, Frankie served in the Army for two years, earning an honorable discharge that reflected his commitment and dedication to his country. This chapter of his life instilled in him a sense of discipline and honor that permeated all aspects of his being.
Frankie's passions were as varied as the hues of a vibrant sunset. He relished hunting and fishing, embracing the simplicity and beauty of nature. Farming also held a special place in his heart, connecting him deeply to the land and the cycles of life. A true aficionado of storytelling, he found joy in Sci-fi literature and films, while evenings were often spent indulging in the melodies of Country Western Music and watching Western Shows. Yet, it was the moments spent with his family and friends that brought him the greatest happiness.
He is survived by his beloved children, Frankie Gene Smith, Jennifer Rose Frazier, Lisa Marie Talley, and David Scott Talley, who carry forward his spirit and values. His presence will be sorely missed by his daughter-in-law, Brandi Talley, his sister, Jeannine Puhlman, and brother-in-law, Keith Puhlman. Frankie also leaves behind cherished siblings, Erbin Talley and Frances Kent, and brother-in-law, Brenton Kent, along with six adoring grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, who will forever hold his memory in their hearts.
Frankie's warmth and laughter will echo in the lives of those he loved. He has been reunited with his beloved spouse, Robin Elizabeth Talley, whose absence was deeply felt. Together, they will now share in a peaceful eternity. He is also predeceased by his father, Pompey Gene Talley, his mother, Ora Lee Talley, and his brother, Kelvin Talley.
Visitation will take place on December 14, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Bagnell & Son Funeral Home in Covington, Louisiana. The Funeral Service will follow, commencing at 11:00 AM and concluding at noon. Here, amidst loved ones, we will honor and celebrate the extraordinary life of Frankie Gene Talley.
