Frankland Maddox, Sr., age 82 of Monticello, passed away Friday, September 19, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his family and friends. He was born April 25, 1943, in Lake Village, AR to the late Alexander Maddox and Ethel Osborne Maddox.
Frank served in the Arkansas National Guard Reserves from 1964-1970 with an Honorable Discharge. He was employed by Arkla Gas, now Summit, before his retirement. Frank was also a founding member of the Collins-Cominto Fire Department. He served 37 years, 1987-2024, with the department before retiring.

Frank was a member of Cominto Baptist Church. He loved fishing and hunting. If it had a season, he hunted it! He enjoyed being able to ride in his side by side, playing cards, dominoes, and marbles with his grandkids, watching his favorite westerns and the game show channels, NASCAR, football and baseball games, along with his "preaching" channel on Sundays. Last, but not least, he loved his fur baby Lucy. He always said, ''She's daddy's baby and mama's maybe.''

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Ruby Browning; two brothers, Henry and Isaac Craine; and sister-in-law, Carol Maddox.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Linda Ward Maddox; two sons, Frankland Maddox Jr. and wife Jessie and Dwayne Maddox; one daughter, Stephanie Gustafson and husband Matthew; three brothers, Richard Maddox, Claude Maddox and wife Diane, and Paul Maddox; five sisters, Virginia Pevey, Ruby Lee Binham, Edna Turosky, Jo Ann Jones and Barbara McGrath; five grandchildren, Sarah Gustafson, Dylan Gustafson, Austin Gustafson, Gage Maddox, and Jackson Maddox; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
