Franklin Isiac "Columbo" Cantrell, age 80, of Cedar Bluff, Virginia, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2024 at his home.
He was born in Richlands, Virginia and was the son of the late Jessie Cantrell and Waite Lillian Horn Cantrell.
He was a lifelong resident of the area and was a retired Coal Truck Driver for the Hobbs Brothers Trucking. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jessie Lynn Elswick; sister, Doris Mears; and brothers, Bill, Paul, and David Cantrell.

Tammy Cantrell of Pounding Mill, Virginia
Christleen Webb and husband, Ronnie of Richlands, Virginia
Son:
James Dean "Jimmy" Cantrell of Raven, Virginia
Brother: Kenneth Cantrell and wife, Vicky of Claypool Hill, Virginia
Grandchildren: Freddie Elswick and wife, Katy; Anthony Elswick and wife, Kayla; Alex Cantrell and wife, Meagan; Jeffrey Cantrell, Justin Cantrell, Shawnna Meadows and husband, Taylor; Jessie Cantrell; Taylor Webb; and Maddie Webb
Great Grandchildren: Emma Elswick, Erin Elswick, Henley Elswick, Connor Cantrell, Chloe Cantrell, Revi Jane Meadows, and Braylon Perkins.
Funeral services for Franklin Isiac Cantrell will be conducted Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 2pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with Rev. Jay Cole and Rocky Cole officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia. Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 from 6pm until 9pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia.
