Crouse – Mr. Kenneth Aaron Cantrell, 83, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 30, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family.

Kenneth was born on July 17, 1942 in Lincoln County, NC a son of the late Walter Aaron Cantrell and Marie Cantrell Weiss. He was retired as a truck driver having worked for Carolina Freight in Cherryville and Dallas Mavis Forwarding Company in Mt. Holly. Together, Kenneth and his wife Diane, drove all over the United States. Kenneth was a member of Gainsville Baptist Church in Lincolnton. He was a member of Lincoln Masonic Lodge #137 A.F. & A.M. Kenneth loved riding horses and enjoyed living life to the fullest.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Diane Stanley Cantrell of the home; his daughter, Crystal Cantrell Warlick and husband Ray of Lincolnton; three granddaughters, Misty Lail McIntosh (Jason), Lacey Canipe (Bradley) and Bessie Motz (Troy); four great grandchildren, Anderson McIntosh, Zoey Canipe, Emma Motz and Leah Motz; three sisters, Joann Riffle of Crouse; Sandra Wright of Crouse; Robin Jenkins of Salisbury; three brothers, Mike Cantrell of Lincolnton; Eddie Cantrell of Lincolnton and Tony Cantrell of Vale. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Stamey-Cherrvyille Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Holland officiating.

Burial will be at Gainsville Baptist Church Cemetery in Lincolnton. The family will greet friends following the graveside service and at other times the family will be at the home.

Memorials may be made to Gainsville Baptist Church, 270 Gainsville Church Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
