Ralph Campbell Jr.

Ralph Campbell, Jr., age 63, of Swords Creek, Virginia, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2026, in a hospital in Richlands, Virginia.

Ralph was born in Richlands, Virginia, on March 26, 1962, and was the son of Ralph Campbell, Sr. of Richlands, Virginia, and the late Joann Whited Campbell. He was a graduate of the Richlands High School Class of 1980, and worked for 43 years as a coal miner. He was a loving son, husband, father, brother, and friend. Ralph was a lifetime resident of the area and a member of the Charity Full Gospel Assembly of God Church.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Shane Campbell.

Darrell Campbell and his wife, Alice of Raven, VA

Zak Honaker of Raven, VA

Brother-in-law, Scottie Richardson, and his wife, Kim of Raven, VA

Grandchildren: Cadynn Rowe, Briana Joyce, Drake Joyce, Aubree Rowe, Brentley Howard, Olivia, Quinnton Horne, Mazie Howard, Ronan Howard, and Kolsyn Rowe.

The funeral service for Ralph Campbell, Jr, will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia, with the Rev. Tim Lester and Rev. Dennis Richardson officiating. Interment will follow at the Richardson Family Cemetery on Horton Ridge near Swords Creek, Virginia. Pallbearers will be: Donnie Stiltner, James Goodman, Anthony Joyce, Drake Joyce, George Howard, and Brett Bozzer. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Jay Howard, Daniel Richardson, and the men of the Charity Full Gospel Assembly of God Church. A visitation will be on Monday evening, beginning at 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Hurst Scott Funeral Home in Richlands is in charge of the arrangements.
