Franklin Hoyt Holliday, age 70, of Maud, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was born on January 31, 1953, in Maud, Texas, to Lynton H. and Oneita (Smith) Holliday.
Mr. Holliday, who was retired, spent his working days as a Welder with Red River Army Depot and UTLX (Union Tank Car Company). He was also a member of First Baptist Church in Maud, Texas.
In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, gardening, and singing. If you ask his loved ones, they will tell you that Mr. Holliday had a giving-spirit and that the thing he loved most was spending time with his family.
He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lynton and Oneita Holliday; his brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Patty Brabham; and nephew, John Hemby.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Brenda (Ratliff) Holliday; his son, Jeffery Holliday; his stepchildren, Mitch Lynn and wife Jenni, Stacey (Lynn) Benaye and husband Avery, Justin Perryman, Chris Perryman, Keirsten Perryman; his grandchildren, Nicky Perryman, Sammy Perryman, Jon Perryman, Jeremiah Perryman, Leah Perryman, Eli Geter, Avielle Benaye, Davis Lynn, Caroline Lynn; his sister and brother-in-law, Kay (Holliday) and Jerry Plummer; nephews, David Brabham and wife Kathy, Paul Brabham and wife Rose, Robert Brabham and wife Stephanie; niece, Amy Sletten and husband Keith; special aunt, Velma Smith, her children, Martha and Roger, her grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church – Maud, Texas
with Bro. Keith Ducroz officiating.
Private Interment will be in Center Ridge Cemetery – Maud, Texas, under the direction of Bates-Rolf Funeral Home – New Boston, Texas
There is no set Visitation.
