Mr. Franklin "Red" Kilgore, age 75, of Lyons, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2025, at the Community Hospice House following an extended illness. He was born on September 17, 1950, in Moultrie to Tom and Junior Kilgore, and spent most of his life in Toombs County. "Red" served our country in the United States Army, was self-employed, installing floors for more than fifty years, and was a Baptist by faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his former wife and friend, Brenda Clark.

Mr. Kilgore is survived by his children, Melissa Bell and husband Ennis of Baxley, Randall Kilgore and wife Marie of Glenwood, and William Kilgore and wife Tammy of Lyons; two brothers, Arthur Kilgore and wife Barbara of the South Thompson community, and Tom Kilgore and wife Barbara of the Center community; two sisters, Patricia Foskey and husband Richard of Moultrie and Faye "Polly" Vinson and husband RT of the Center community; former wife, Edna Faye Kilgore of Lyons; fourteen grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Wilkes Funeral Home on Saturday afternoon, December 6th, from 1:00 until just before the service.

The memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 6th, at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Wilkes Funeral Home.

The arrangements have been entrusted to Wilkes Funeral Home of Vidalia.
