Niagara- Franklin J. Lanthier, 87, of Niagara, Wisc., passed away Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Aurora Bay Medical Center, Green Bay, Wisc.
He was born November 4, 1936, in Iron Mountain, Mich., son of the late Urban and Lucille (Verrette) Lanthier. Frank proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, tinkering, carpentry work, spending time with friends and family, playing cards, and socializing and cooking at his camp.
Survivors include three sons, Mark (Tammie) Lanthier, Niagara, Wisc., Michael Lanthier, Quinnesec, Mich., and Donald (Julie) Lanthier, Kingsford, Mich.; three daughters, Marguerite Lanthier, Niagara, Wisc., Carol (Dale) Warren, and Nancy (Chuck) Pellegrini, Norway, Mich.; one brother, Joe Lanthier, Port Washington, Wisc.; nine grandchildren, Jon, Beth, Simone, Joe, Brian, Justin, Alex, Matt and Vanessa; and by five great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by one son, Tommy Lanthier; sister and brother-in-law, Flora Mae (Don) Howley; and sister-in-law, LaVaugh Lanthier.
Visitation will be on Saturday, March 16, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home-Niagara Chapel, Niagara, Wisc. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Fr. Felix Albano will officiate. Burial will take place in the Niagara Cemetery with military honors.
