Franklin Wayne Miles, known affectionately as Wayne to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2024, at his home in Dacusville, South Carolina. Born on July 17, 1954, in Greenville, SC, Wayne was a cherished son to the late William Frank and Cora Pearson Miles. His warm presence and hearty laughter will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

Wayne's life was marked by deep devotion to his family, his faith, and his community. He is survived by his sons Jeremy Wayne Miles, and Joe Miles.   His loving sisters, Sandra Robinson and Janice Weathers. His memory will also be treasured by his six grandchildren and one great-grandchild, who brought him immeasurable joy and pride. Wayne was preceded in death by his siblings, Allen Miles, Joyce Taylor, and Kaye Miles, whose memories he held close to his heart.

For over two decades, Wayne dedicated his professional life to Southeastern Freight Lines, where he was known for his strong work ethic and friendly demeanor. His colleagues remember him not just as a coworker but as a true friend. Wayne's commitment to his community was evident through his service as the Pickens County Chaplain and his active involvement in Word of Life Ministries. He was a pillar in the Life Church in Dacusville, SC, where he formed lasting bonds with fellow members through his unwavering faith and fellowship.

Wayne's interests were as rich and varied as his character. He found solace in the simple pleasures of life, such as watching westerns, which allowed him to escape into tales of courage and adventure. His hands were rarely still, as he found joy in raising chickens and tending to his garden, which was a testament to his patience and nurturing spirit. Above all, Wayne cherished spending time with his family and friends, who were the cornerstone of his life.

Those who knew Wayne would describe him as a friendly, funny, and faith-filled man. His sense of humor was a gift that he shared generously, bringing laughter and lightness to any gathering. Wayne's friendly nature made him a beloved figure in his community, and his deep faith was an inspiration to many.

As we bid farewell to Franklin Wayne Miles, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and love. Wayne's legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him and in the community that he served so selflessly. His life was a testament to the values he held dear: family, faith, and friendship. Wayne's journey on earth has ended, but his story will be told for generations to come, as an example of a life well-lived and a man well-loved.
