Franklin “Larry” Lawrence Page, 80, of Acworth, Georgia, passed away on December 17, 2024. Larry dedicated his life to helping others and spending time with family.
Born in 1944, Larry’s devotion to his family defined his life. He was the beloved son of the late Dimon Lawrence Page and Annie Pearl Gowen Page. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his late wife Beth Fallin Page, newborn son, David Lawrence Page, and siblings, Kerry Brent Page and Marcia Page Capps. Larry shared 48 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Pat Gardner Page. Together, they built a loving family that includes their daughter, Courtney Page Tomberlain (Kennesaw, GA); son-in-law, Thomas Tomberlain; son, Grant Page (Chuluota, FL); daughter-in-law, Mel Page; and two cherished grandchildren, Dalton and Raegan Tomberlain. Affectionately known as “Gaga”, Larry took immense pride in his grandchildren and treasured the time he spent with them. In addition to his immediate family, he leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and his Gowen cousins who were his best friends all his life.
Larry graduated from the University of Georgia’s College of Pharmacy. His career as a pharmacist touched countless lives, and his compassionate care earned him the admiration and respect of all who knew him. He was a crusader for newborn health and lobbied for more fetal monitors in Labor and Delivery in the hospital. Larry was chosen as a Baptist Nassau Legendary Caregiver in 2009. Beyond his work, he was a man of deep character who valued family above all else. An avid outdoorsman, Larry found joy in fishing, hunting, crabbing, boating, and creating lasting memories with his family. His love for the water and the outdoors reflected his deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. Larry was also a huge University of Georgia football fan, and he loved cheering on his alma mater.
Larry will be remembered for his dedication to family and sense of humor.
A Celebration of Life will be held on December 28, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. on the Crooked River at Harrietts Bluff, Georgia followed by a private burial. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Tunnel to Towers Foundation or Wolfson Children’s Hospital (Jacksonville, FL) in Larry’s honor.
