Franklin E. Palermo, a beloved member of the Brockport community, was born on February 2, 1942, in Rochester, New York. He passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026, in Brockport, leaving behind a legacy of love, music, and cherished family memories.
Franklin dedicated much of his career to Peko Industries, where his hard work and commitment would define his professional life. As he retired, he left behind not just colleagues, but friends who admired his work ethic and warm spirit. His fondness for long car rides became a hallmark of his personality, a way for him to explore and enjoy the simple beauty of the open road. Along with this passion, Franklin found joy in playing his guitar, often sharing his music with friends and family, filling their hearts with melodies that will be remembered for years to come.
Franklin's proudest accomplishment was marrying the love of his life, Patricia. Their union stood as a testament to love and partnership, a bond strengthened over countless moments shared and memories made. Patricia preceded him in death in 2023, leaving a profound void in Franklin's life, one that was echoed in the hearts of all who knew them together.
He is survived by his daughter Tina (Barry) Buchiere and son Frank (Sue) Palermo, who carry forward his legacy of love and kindness. His grandchildren, Jaeden Palermo, Jaesin Palermo, Jaeda Palermo, Isabella Weese, and Gianna Buchiere, brought immense joy to his life, just as he brought joy to theirs. The family expanded with the arrival of his great-grandson, Tyriek Grimes, a bright light in his life that symbolized the enduring ties of family.
Franklin is also remembered by his parents, Anthony and Ida Snyder Palermo, and his siblings, now departed: two brothers and one sister, who all shaped the man he became.
A viewing will be held on February 22, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a funeral service beginning at 3:00 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, Westside, located at 2636 Ridgeway Ave, Rochester, NY.
Franklin E. Palermo will be dearly missed; his gentle spirit, loving nature, and harmonious music will forever resonate in the hearts of those who loved and knew him. May he rest in peace, embraced by the love of his family that surrounds him still.
