Sandra L. Bubel
Greece – Passed away unexpectedly while living her very best life on February 25, 2026.
Sandra’s life was a beautiful testament to love, loyalty, friendship, and joy. She was predeceased by her beloved parents, Wolfred and Alice Largway, and by the love of her life, her husband of 53 years, Bernard C. Bubel. Their marriage was a true partnership — one built on devotion, laughter, and unwavering commitment. She was also predeceased by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Richard Bubel, Virginia & Jimmy White, Marie & Sam Barron, Verne Hubright, Raymond Bubel, and David Bubel.
She leaves behind a family who was the center of her world — her loving sons, Timothy (Melisa) and Scott (Nicole), who carry forward her strength, warmth, and deep sense of family. Her cherished grandsons, Grayson and Cameron, were truly the light of her life. To be their grandmother was her greatest joy and proudest role. She adored them beyond measure, and nothing made her happier than time spent cheering them on, sharing stories, and wrapping them in her endless love.
Sandra is also survived by her dear Bubel family: Norman (Jan) Bubel, Judy Bubel, Paul (Fran) Bubel, Mary Ellen Bubel, Dorothy Hubright, and Linda Bubel, along with many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews whom she loved dearly. She is also lovingly remembered by by her cousin, Dolores Bachman and the Ashton family, who were her family through love and lifelong devotion. Her lifelong friendships were treasures she held close to her heart, especially her best friends of more than 60 years, Jeannie (Tom) Raisbeck and Rita Livingston. Through every season of life, their bond remained steadfast and true. She was also blessed with countless dear friends whom she considered family.
For over 40 years, Sandy was a proud and dedicated employee of the Greece Central School District. Her loyalty, strong work ethic, and genuine care for others left a lasting impact on colleagues and students alike. She showed up every day with commitment and heart.
Sandy embraced life fully and fearlessly. She had an adventurous spirit and an infectious laugh. Whether gathering with her quilt guild, diving into a good book with her book club, traveling to new places, or spending cherished time with her beloved Adirondack family of lifelong friends, she found joy in connection and community. She was always ready for the next adventure and always grateful for the people alongside her.
Above all else, Sandy’s love defined her. She loved deeply, gave freely, and lived generously. Her strength, devotion, vibrant spirit, and unwavering kindness will continue to shine through the lives she touched.
Though her passing leaves an immeasurable void, her legacy of love and laughter lives on in her family and friends. She will be profoundly missed and forever held in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
