Franklin R "Jack" Potts, 82, of Person County, died on Thursday, September 11, 2025. Born in Surry County. Mr. Franklin was the son of the late Troy Potts and Maggie Lawson Potts. In addition to the parents he was preceded in death by one child, Emit Franklin Potts; one brother Bruce Potts; and one sister, Peggy Sechrist (Paul). Mr. Potts loved devoting his life to his family and working as a mechanic. He also loved working on their farm and was considered a jack of all trades.

He is survived by his wife of over 53 years, Diane Nunnery Potts; three children, Tracie Diane Potts Knott (Randall), Jackie Clark (James "Bubba" Clark), and Jamie Potts (Lauren); 10 grandchildren, Emily Haley, Hunter Clark, Jaylee Potts, Jillian Potts, Nicholas Knott, Cody Knott, Lilla Knott, Joleigh Bryant, Coralie Bryant and Nicholas Bryant; and five great grandchildren, Lawson Mitchell, Sawyer Jones, Penny Knott, Rylee Knott and Benjamin Knott.

Honoring his wishes, no services will be held at this time.
