Franklin Rigdon Obituary
Franklin Delano Rigdon, 87, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at Harris Regional Medical Center.
A native and lifelong resident of Jackson County, born March 6, 1937, he was a son of the late Frank and Lilly Middleton Rigdon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Peggy Rigdon; a son, Clay Rigdon; and two brothers, Arnold and Carroll Rigdon.
Franklin was a member of Faith Baptist Church and was a United States Army veteran. He especially loved the Lord! Franklin enjoyed to hunt, fish, camp, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by two sons, Frank Jay Rigdon and Charles C. Rigdon (Tammy); several grandchildren, Blake Rigdon (Karley), Grace Rigdon, Samuel Rigdon, Noah Rigdon, Ashley Parlier (Tyler) and Dillion Saulman (Megan); and two great-grandchildren, Rhett Rigdon and Max Parlier.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2025 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Reverend Ronnie Branson officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service in the chapel.
