FRANKLIN WURMAN Obituary

WURMAN FRANKLIN A., ESQ. Age 90, of Elkins Park, passed away on April 29. Born in Philadelphia, Frank was the son of Fannie and Morris Wurman. He is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Nancy Wurman (née Feldenkreis); his children Bryna (Dworetsky), Joseph and Richard; his brother Richard Saul Wurman, and 6 beloved grandchildren, Ally, Noah, Jacob, Jackie, Zachary and Zander. Frank was an active and proud alumnus of Amherst College. He went on to complete his law degree at the University of Pennsylvania, and proudly practiced law well into his 80s. He was a loyal Flyers fan and longtime season ticket holder. An avid cribbage player, Frank enjoyed passing on his love for the game to his family and friends, in addition to hosting a monthly grassroots tournament for decades (and proudly achieving the coveted "29 hand"). His greatest joys were watching his family grow and spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. Frank loved to cook and seemed to always bring everyone together with his love of food. His gregarious and endearing nature, along with his gift for storytelling, always made for a memorable gathering. Relatives and friends are invited to Funeral Services on Tuesday, 11:30am precisely at GOLDSTEINS' ROSENBERG'S RAPHAEL-SACKS, 310 2nd Street Pike, Southampton, PA. Int. Shalom Mem. Park. Shiva to follow on Tuesday, and on Wednesday from 2 to 4 P.M. at the home of Nancy Wurman. Contributions in his memory may be made to Special Olympics, www.specialolympics.org or to Reform Congregation Keneseth Israel, www.kenesethisrael.org. www.goldsteinsfuneral.com

Dear Nancy and family, My sincere condolences on Frank's passing. As you may recall, we grew up and were in the same 1949 CHS graduating class. We live in Tucson and I still have my cribbage board. With heartfelt feeling, Gene Leof

I am very sorry to hear of Frank´s passing but I know he had a long and good life. I had the pleasure and honor of knowing Frank because of my brother Brian whom Frank told me personally he loved like a son... so how could I not be so fond of him once he said that. I always looked forward to seeing Frank, albeit not often enough, when I had the chance because he just made me laugh so much...I always found him very interesting and of course a bit of a nut ha ha but the smartest nut I´ve ever known. I hope his grandchildren will always have the best memories of their grandfather and never forget how important they were to him and all they learned from him. My condolences of course to Nancy and Bryna, Joseph and Richard and rest of family. And I have two words: George Outerbridge...this I will never forget... some of you will know what I am talking about. lol
Rest in peace Frank xox
