Fraulein Coleman Lowe

LOWE, Fraulein Coleman, 90, of Milford in Caroline County, died Monday, March 2, 2009, at Mary Washington Hospital. Mrs. Lowe was an educator in the Caroline County school system and later at Virginia State University, until her retirement in 1983. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Dr. Walter E. Lowe Sr.; a son, Walter E. Lowe Jr. and his wife, Cheryl, of Michigan; two sisters, Otelia Redman of Silver Spring, Md., and Loureve Bryant of Charlottesville, Va.; three grandchildren, two great- grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. A viewing will be held Friday, March 6, 2009, from noon to 4 p.m. at C.W. Edwards Funeral Home, Bowling Green, Va. A wake will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at St. John Baptist Church, 17080 South River Rd., Woodford, Va. 22580. A funeral will held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2009, at St. John Baptist Church, with Rev. Dr. W.G. Berryman delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
