Burial: Patty Flat Cemetery, Fuget, Kentucky
Frecia Roszell Burchett Spriggs, age 82, of Flat Gap, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at King's Daughters Medical Center.
Frecia was born November 6, 1943 in Johnson County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Ralph Burchett and Talitha Hannah Baldwin Burchett. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Glenda (Dan) Boone, Henry Edward Burchett and Ralph Neal Burchett, brother-in-laws, R.C. Stambaugh and Leon John Pelphrey.
She is survived by her husband, George Burton Spriggs; one son, Ralph Burton (Lorrie) Spriggs of Flat Gap, Kentucky; two daughters, Lisa Gail (Rick) Caldwell of Fort Myers, Florida and Dana Allison (Nathan) Dale of Flat Gap, Kentucky; siblings, Carroll (Carolyn) Burchett of Red Bush, Kentucky, Bernice Stambaugh of Wittensville, Kentucky, Eunice Pelphrey of Red Bush, Kentucky, Anita (Charlie) McMonigle of Greenville, Indiana, and Sandra (Bill) Robinson of Georgetown, Kentucky; nine grandchildren, Megan (Brad) Gullett, Paige (Jonathan) Scarberry, Deanna (Samuel) Griffith, Blake Jordan, Taylor Spriggs, Dustin (Mekenzie) Caldwell, Alyson (J.D.) Plummer, Katherine Dale, Olivia Dale (Neil) Bassett; twelve great-grandchildren, Easton Gullett, Emmalyn Gullett, Boston Scarberry, Cali Mae Scarberry, Knox Caldwell, Ava Caldwell, Grayson Caldwell, Boone Emerson Caldwell, Bella Louise Plummer, Beckett Samuel Griffith, Ruby Vaughn Griffith, Rynlee Dean Griffith.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2026 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Steve Rose and Chuck Slone officiating. Burial will follow in the Patty Flat Cemetery, Fuget, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Monday, February 9, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, February 10, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.

I remember when we would go and visit at the old home place how much fun we would have reminiscing. Frecia was very special and honored us with her beautiful voice when she sang at my Mom´s funeral. You are in your heavenly place now with our Lord. Rest in peace until we meet again.
