Fred Benedict Obituary
He was predeceased by his parents, Solon and Alleine Benedict. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Sally Benedict; his son, Chad (Becky) Benedict; his grandsons, Tyler and Ethan Benedict, and Devin and Owen Edwards; his brother, Solon (Delores) Benedict; brother-in-law, Jack Redmond; and sisters-in-law, Nancy Aikins (Chuck Gross) and Janet Redmond. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Fred served with the US Navy during Vietnam and was a retiree of New York State. He was an active member of the 1st Baptist Church of Port Crane.
Friends may call Monday, December 11, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St, Port Dickinson, New York 13901, where a funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at 11:00 AM. Fred will be laid to rest in Port Crane Cemetery, Port Crane, NY.
In lieu of flowers, please consider honoring Fred with a memorial contribution to Path of Life Camp, 112 Path of Life Rd #1722, Port Crane, NY 13833.
