SIDNEY - Fred H. Bollinger Sr., 88, of Sidney passed away on Monday, December 8, 2025, in Shelby Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation, Sidney, Ohio.
He was born on August 10, 1937, in St Paris, Ohio to Charles Samuel and Ruby Frances (Mitchell) Bollinger.
Fred retired after 28 dedicated years with LeRoi Dresser. Outside of work, he was happiest around tractors and farmland. He had a special passion for John Deere and Massey Ferguson tractors and enjoyed attending tractor pulls, expos, and spending time farming.
Fred is survived by his son, Fred H. (Lorie) Bollinger Jr.; his daughter, Tammy Bollinger; cousins, Alan, Tom, and Dave Bollinger; and his beloved grand-dog, Gizmo.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife of 49 years, Mary.
Graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, December 22, 2025, in Spring Grove Cemetery, N. Heck Hill Rd, St Paris, Ohio with Pastor Aaron Samples officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Atkins, Shively & Vernon Funeral Home, St Paris, Ohio. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.vernonfh.com.

I knew Fred through my dad from Threshers. Then I loved at lawn wood commons and talked to Fred a couple of times on occasion. He also was my sister's bus driver in Graham School District.
He was so sweet.
